Manchester Children’s Book Festival · 26th June – 6th July 2012

The Manchester Children’s Book Festival’s Creative Director, Poet Laureate Carol Ann Duffy, will officially open the 2012 Festival in the Holden Gallery at Manchester Metropolitan University.

This gala event will feature poetry from Carol Ann and a musical performance by local schools, as well as the official opening of "Graphic History of the Future" an exhibition of childhood sci-fi annuals and novels from the Malcolm Garrett Archive, and the 2012 ‘Out of Schools’ exhibition of artwork produced by children from the region.

The Holden Gallery will be open to the public for the duration of the Festival.

For sponsors and official Festival partners there will be a special, invitation-only, pre-event reception hosted by Carol Ann.
